22yo Miss Frangipani crowned

Morgan, who works at the Kokopo Beach Bungalow, won the title against seven other contestants in front of about 300 people at the Ralum Club on July 5.

Member for Gazelle, Jelta Wong, announced that the revived Miss Frangipani will now be held annually and the winner will be Miss East New Britain, who will contest in the Miss PNG Pacific Islands Pageant.

Member for Kokopo and Minister for Culture and Tourism, Emil Tammur, who also attended the crowning last Friday, announced a commitment of K50,000 towards next year's pageant.
