The conference program featured three panel discussions, focusing on economic opportunities in Papua New Guinea, the Agri-business sector, and the green-blue economy. Following these panels, presentations will explore global business financing opportunities and marketing sessions in agriculture, fisheries, energy, technology, and e-business.

PNG NRLC Director, Lorna McPherson announced the appointment of Leith Isaac as General Manager and Paul Joseph as Competitions Manager for a period of two years.

Isaac has over 10 years of experience in public and private sector and include international development and has a strong experience in sports space working previously with Team PNG and 2015 Pacific Games.

This will be Chow’s second term as the PNGNRLC Chairman and he will serve for another two years.

The 2018 PNG National Rugby League Competition Digicel Cup comes to an end this Sunday, September 2, with a grand final between Minor Premiers Enga Mioks and the Lahanis at the Oil Search National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.

McPherson has passed her best wishes to both teams and their captains.

Manam volcano in Madang Province erupted again at about 5am on August 25^th.

Peter Sukua, a local leader from Baliau village, called this newsroom from the island to report that the volcano spewed ashes and lava.

He reported destruction to gardens and main village tracks have closed due to fallen trees.
