Hunters climb up ladder

The Hunters are now in the 9th-spot after they registered a 32-10 victory at the Lae Rugby League ground.

The first-of-its-kind Intrust Super Cup country week round attracted a record crowd of over 7,000 people at the Lae Rugby League ground.

At least 7,000 people were within the grounds while officials reported that over 10,000 people stood outside, on the hills and climbed up trees to watch the match.

The blistering heat did not dampen the crowd’s spirit as they cheered on the Hunters, who relentlessly attacked the Devils’ defenders.

Dinner raises K40,000 for Lae Rugby League

The QRL Country Week was an opportunity for the PNG Rugby Football League and partners to do exactly that.

Hunters major sponsor SP, held a Gala Night in Lae city to raise funds for the Lae Rugby League Club.

The dinner saw both teams attend including business houses in Lae City.

According to SP Brewery, the Gala Dinner was equally important to the game itself to maintain the quality of performance for Hunters and support must be given to the local rugby league association, in this case, the Lae Rugby League.
