Man arrested for stealing K20,000

Mr Nili said the suspect was arrested in Lae, Morobe province on Tuesday February 23.

Police alleged that on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at around 10am in Kundiawa Town, the suspect (name withheld) allegedly received K20,000.00 from the complainant (named) for his vehicle, a white Toyota Land Cruiser, registration number IAD 289.

PPC Nili said the suspect got the money and was allegedly "on the run" until he was arrested by police in Lae.

K20m Water Project For Kundiawa

Minister for State Owned Enterprises, William Duma, commissioned the K20 million water project in Kundiawa recently. This moment was witnessed by the people from all six districts of the province.

Landslide blocks off Highlands Highway

The landslide at Guo, which is five minutes from Kundiawa Town, Chimbu, completely shut off the highway yesterday (Saturday) after continuous rain.

CEO of Kombri and Associates Lawyers, Martin Kombri, who is on the ground, told Loop PNG that the landslide began in the early hours of Friday morning however, part of the road was still accessible.

It was early in the evening of Saturday that the Guo section of the Okuk Highway was ruined.
