In an interview with Loop PNG, Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (KPHL) Managing Director, Wapu Sonk, highlighted how Kopi could be used to tie together several gas projects.
The concept, which is an alternative to transporting gas to Port Moresby, will see Kopi cater for the Gulf LNG, Western LNG, Small Scale LNG (ssLNG) and offshore gas projects such as Pasca and Pandora.
The potential industrial hub includes a power plant for power generation into the Highlands Region, a petrochemical plant as well as a floating LNG facility to cater for the offshore gas.
