Kokoda Campaign

Students working on children’s book

For this workshop, KTF brought in school children from PNG and Australia and four amazing PNG and Australian writers and artists.

The school children came together to share stories around the shared histories between Australia and PNG that was forged on these rugged and beautiful mountains.

Working with the extraordinary artist, Jeffry Feeger, and writers, Iriani Wanma, Rashmii Amoah and Yahoo Serious, the children worked on creating a children’s book that will keep the spirit of Kokoda alive for generations to come. This will become available on Kokoda Day 2017!

PNG-Queensland rangers to work together

This follows the signing in Brisbane of a memorandum of understanding between the Kokoda Track Authority (KTA) and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS).

Environment Minister John Pundari said the work that the rangers will undertake, carried out in steep terrain and wet conditions, will not be easy but will be very rewarding.
