Tkatchenko called out for International Trips

Member for Chuave, James Nomane, asked for clarification today during the 2nd Parliament sitting.

“Recently, we have seen on a few of the International trips with the Prime Minister, that we have had the Minister assisting the Prime Minister representing the Independent State of PNG on these trips engaging with foreign entities like China and the United States of America.

Tkatchenko pushes for agricultural benefits at APEC Summit

Tkatchenko made this statement at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ministerial Meeting on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

Nation’s Capital begin Independence Celebrations

On September 16, 2023, Papua New Guinea commemorates 48 years of Independence as all take pride in the diverse culture, tradition and richness.

Tkatchenko fed up of Koki Crime

He said the new police station that will cater for Police officers every day will acquire more opportunists to be captured in that area and allow a more free and safe environment for citizens.

Tkatchenko said for many years opportunities were given to the people to become productive and positive change in the society. He said the change in Boroko Precinct should be done in Koki as well.

Moresby South continues to assist MSME

Upon receiving acquittals, Tkatchenko stated that as an electorate it was the first if its kind initiative, especially monitoring and evaluation involving women's groups and associations.

"It is important to acquit because what we were given are public monies so we must ensure that the funds are used properly. We just couldn't give you the money alone. We made sure you received financial knowledge and literacy so you all knew how to look after your income and to spend the money properly. You need to know how to account for your money and bank your funds,” MP Tkatchenko said.

“Papua New Guinea is my home”

This was in response to "online trolls" who criticized his eldest daughter’s Tiktok video of a lavish trip to London.

Tkatchenko made the comment to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) amid a nationwide outrage over the member’s daughter Savannah and her taxpayer-funded trip to the King’s Coronation.

He stated, “A lot has been said in the media and on social media in the recent weeks and the people of our nation want to know the truth of what was said and how it was intended and how this was manipulated and what was actually meant by my words.

Marape urges people to stay away from Tkatchenko’s issue

PM Marape in a statement responded to the calls from certain organisations planning to gather outside Parliament today to prevent Moresby-South MP Tkatchenko from entering.

"The relevant authorities are currently investigating the Justin Tkatchenko issue, and it is important to note that he has already stepped aside as Foreign Affairs Minister. Therefore, there is no need to further burden the public with unnecessary stress," Marape emphasised.

Court quash NCDC land title

The Supreme Court on June 02, 2023 upheld the decision and squashed the judgement of the National Court given on the October 21, 2022, OS (JR) No: 82 of 2021.

The land in this case is described as Portion 4035C, Milinch of Granville, Fourmil, in Port Moresby, registered within the State Lease description, Volume 37, Folio 186.

The applicant's application for Judicial review was granted and order in the nature of certiorari was made.

Tkatchenko Steps Aside as Foreign Minister

This followed public uproar after a tiktok video from his daughter Savannah Tkatchenko was
circulated widely on social media.

The Minister’s defense of his daughter drew further harsh
criticism from the public over the poor choice of words used to show his frustrations.

Tkatchenko apologizes

“First and foremost, I would like to personally apologize about my comments that were taken the completely wrong way and make known that these comments were solely directed to the individuals that made these disgusting and vile comments about my daughter.

“In addition to that my conversation that was released to the media was edited and I was totally misrepresented,” stated Tkatchenko.

He explained that he has six beautiful children and as a father his love for them is unconditional.
