Jarryd Hayne

Eels deal to bring Hayne home

NRL.com understands the Eels are open to welcoming him back – but only on their terms. Those terms are likely to be a take-it-or-leave-it $500,000 one-year deal that would mean Hayne would sacrifice at least half a million dollars if he chooses to walk out on the Titans to rejoin his old team.

Hayne equals RLWC all-time try-scoring record

Hayne was instrumental in Fiji’s win, having a hand in most of the Bati’s 11 tries and leading the way in both attack and defence.

His 46th minute try took the star five-eighth try scoring tally in three World Cups with Fiji and Australia to 13, equalling the record held by the legendary Bob Fulton since 1975.

Hayne’s 13 tries include nine for Australia and four for Fiji.

Naiqama will captain the squad, which also includes Ashton and Korbin Sims, Taane Milne and Jacob Saifiti.

The two men who can give Queensland the blues

Hayne is undoubtedly one of the game's most damaging stars and has shown flashes of brilliance throughout the series, including a try in each of the first two Origins.

However, his final 20 minutes in the Game Two loss at ANZ Stadium left some questioning whether he should be retained for the July 12 decider after Hayne came up with a couple of errors, including a shocking behind-the-back flick pass that let Queensland off the hook just when the Blues were going in for the kill.

I'm my harshest critic: Hayne

Former Queensland and current Broncos coach Wayne Bennett criticised the 29-year-old for a "selfish" play in the Origin defeat when Hayne failed to set up Brett Morris for what would have been New South Wales' fourth try of the night inside 30 minutes.

'Hayne Plane' in Queensland's sights

Hayne's return to the Blues has been trumpeted south of the border as the return of a prodigal son who after a season in San Francisco is now ready to reclaim his place as the Blues' most influential player on the game's greatest stage.

Hayne looks to reclaim the pinnacle

Three years on he's hoping to lead New South Wales to glory again.

Since that series, Hayne spent the better part of two years out of the game, heading stateside to earn an unlikely NFL debut with the San Francisco 49ers before a stint trying to make it to the Olympics with the Fiji Rugby Sevens team.

No end in sight to Hayne's centre shift

Early fears that Hayne was forced from the field last Saturday with a recurrence of the ankle injury that kept him out for five weeks were allayed straight after the game, a nerve issue caused by a blow to the leg responding immediately to treatment.

He ran on Tuesday morning and was named at left centre, the position he has played in wins against the Knights and Storm in the Titans' past two starts.

Cornish earns NRL debut with injury-hit Titans

Decimated by injuries the Titans have recalled both Dan Sarginson (knee) and William Zillman (calf) into the starting side but both trained predominantly with the rehab group on Tuesday.

Hayne to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks

As he ran his eye over the walking wounded at the Titans' recovery session at Parkwood on Monday, Henry ran through the list of injuries stemming from Saturday's 34-26 loss to the Knights as well as providing an update on players who could return in time to face the Eels at Cbus Super Stadium on Friday night.

Eleven players with NRL experience are on the injured list at present with William Zillman (calf), Dan Sarginson (knee) and Ryan Simpkins (rib cartilage) the three most likely to come into consideration for selection on Tuesday.
