Clubs in the mix to sign Segeyaro

But The Lurker eventually returned to the office long enough to go through the dozen or so leftover questions from this week's Ask the Lurker Live Facebook show.

Segeyaro’s touch key to Leeds form surge

The Rhinos, who have rediscovered their form too late to climb out of the bottom four, knocked Hull off the top of the Super League table a week ago but helped them reclaim the spot by defeating their nearest rivals in a tense Grand Final re-match at Headingley.

The reigning champions looked to have the game sewn up when they led 18-4 after 65 minutes but they were forced to withstand a late rally from their visitors before clinching an 18-16 victory that lifts them off the bottom of the table.

Panthers release Segeyaro, sign Hardaker

The 24-year-old, who will begin training with the Panthers next week, played 154 games for Leeds after making his debut for the Super League club in 2011.

In 2015 Hardaker was named Man of Steel after helping Leeds win the Challenge Cup, League Leaders Shield and First Utility Super League Grand Final.

"This is truly exciting for the Panthers to have a current English international joining the club for the remainder of the 2016 season," Panthers Executive General Manager Phil Gould AM said.

Segeyaro set to exit Penrith after 2016

Panthers general manager of football Phil Gould said the crafty hooker, who has been dropped for Saturday's clash with Melbourne, would not be offered a deal for next year.

"That's a salary cap issue, I don't think we're going to be able to offer James a contract for next year and we've already told him that," Gould told Sky Sports Radio's Big Sports Breakfast.

NRL trio consorting with criminals does not look good

A photo posted by Paulo on his Instagram account allegedly showed the trio dining with former senior Nomad boss Paulie Younan and accused fraudster and money launderer Rafat Alameddine last Friday night, according to Fairfax Media.

Parramatta duo Norman and Paulo, along with fellow NRL player Segeyaro, were issued with official warnings by NSW Police.

"Organised Crime Squad detectives have issued consorting warnings to three current NRL players under section 93x of the Crimes Act 1900," NSW Police said in a statement.

Segeyaro set for tough reception on Saturday

The 11th edition of the annual challenge will be played under the lights at Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby on Saturday.

In a combined media conference this afternoon, PNG PMs 13 coach Stanley Tepend gave a thumbs up for his troops' preparation.

“The camp is good; they all play against each in the Digicel Cup and have now bonded well as a group.”

His counterpart Ivan Cleary said, “Many (of the players in the squad) play together and the combination will there.
