The council members were sworn into office by Southern Highlands Senior Magistrate, Pinsson Pindipia, witness by DDA CEO, Pius Puk, and NYDA Director General, Joe Itaki.
The council consists of youth leaders from three Local Level Governments (LLGs) of Ialibu Basin, Imbonggu Proper and Lower Mendi.
The elected youth leaders vowed to discourage their youths from engaging in illegal activities and instead, focus on self-empowerment activities to better their lives.
