Rabuka visits Ilimo Farm

On Saturday May 20, Prime Minister Rabuka visited the Illimo Farm at 9 Miles, outside Port Moresby. He was accompanied by the Fijian delegation as they were taken on a tour of the Illimo farm’s facilities and got to experience a range of Illimo products, drinks and ice cream.

Ilimo Expands ‘Milk In Schools’ Program

Stunting (impaired growth development) in children is caused by an inadequate supply of essential nutrients, such as calcium, protein, vitamins and carbohydrates needed for healthy growth.

In August of 2021, the first trial of milk in schools program, sponsored by Kina Bank was implemented at Nonu Independent Institute of Education.

The program included daily distributions of an Ilimo milk stik to the students, class sessions on topics that helped the children learn about dairy cows, the milk they produce, the nutrients in milk, and the benefits of drinking milk.

New line of local fruit beverages

Business Development Manager, Gallit Tamir, said: “The concept of using our pasteurization processing to provide the market with quality fruit beverages was there all along, the priority was obviously serving the market with fresh high quality dairy products to be followed with high quality fruit beverages.

Ilimo Dairy farm to open ice-cream shop

The new Ilimo (ice cream) Park is located just outside the main entrance to the mall offering a range of flavours, soft ice cream, milk shakes and slushies – all made from the locally produced Ilimo Fresh Milk.

The park provides a unique experience to shoppers with a shaded playground and sitting area.
