Help for our disadvantaged population

This was made possible through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Foundation for Women & Children at Risk (WeCARe!) and Digicel PNG Foundation.

The MOA confirms Digicel PNG Foundation’s funding of K630,000 to support the work of WeCARe for over 3 years.

“We are so grateful and appreciative to Digicel PNG Foundation for renewing our MOA. This support enables WeCARe to help provide much needed services to the disadvantaged population,” said Josephine Dormenge, WeCARe Program Manager.

Early Christmas for Erima children

Laden with sweets, gifts and goodie bags, Digicel staff were greeted at the gate with hearty carols and beaming smiles from the more than 150 students, ranging from 3 to 12 years old.

Their smiles soon turned into earsplitting grins when Santa came swaggering in to join the party. Everyone rushed to shake hands with Santa as he let out a jovial “Ha ha ha!” instead of the traditional “ho ho ho” that we are all used to.

The initiative is part of Digicel PNG Foundation’s annual CLC Christmas program.
