OFC’s Just Play Program Underway

The program was shelved due to mismanagement and was revived under the president John Kapi Natto after it was seen as a very powerful medium to get the message across the mass population through schools and community.

Just Play Manager, Christine Wamala-Uru, was relieved to see the first phase of the pilot program is getting off the ground in Port Moresby. The complex will house OFC's New Zealand staff and serve as a base for visiting personnel and teams from the confederation's 11 Member Associations and two Associate Members.

In addition to the administration space, it will feature two artificial pitches and dressing rooms suitable for hosting elite matches.

Grandfather plays another game

He missed a penalty as his team, 6th October, lost 3-2 to El Ayat Sports club in the Egyptian third division.

The former amateur player, who turns 75 on November 3, scored a goal from the penalty spot in his debut match on March.

The record was previously held by 73-year-old Israeli Isaak Hayik.
