Financial institution banks on female leadership

Theresa Kawi, joining FinCorp's esteemed Senior Leadership Team, brings a wealth of experience to her role. Formerly a Senior Associate at Dentons, a renowned law firm, Theresa boasts seven years of expertise in Banking & Finance, Corporate and Commercial law. 

Her track record includes providing legal counsel to financial institutions, government entities, large local and multinational corporations, and Not-For-Profit organizations on diverse legal matters such as commercial transactions, legal banking documentation, and project governance.

New appointment for Fincorp

The announcement reflects the company’s commitment to fostering a dynamic work environment and propelling organizational growth with a mission.

Sapias-Kalis brings with her knowledge and experience of the PNG and Australian market and fulfils the company’s mission of putting its people in the forefront of its brand growth and development.

She has served in senior roles within ANZ Bank, Kina Bank, and the Central Bank of Papua New Guinea.

Hard work pays off

Hard work is the result of this after Panina was awarded the FinCorp Employee of the Year 2016/2017.

Managing Director of Fincorp, Tony Witham said Panina had ticked all the boxes to win the Employee of the Year.

He said the trip for two will include accommodation, meals, spending money and VIP seating at ANZ Stadium.

Panina, who is the Logistics Supervisor with FinCorp was grateful to his company and TVWAN.

Mobile app for business loans launched

The app was launched today by FinCorp Board chairman Robert Igara and managing director Tony Witham.

Witham said this enables all businesses to have access to a lending facility from a licensed financial institution and will now be able to apply online and instantly.

Witham encouraged SME customers to download and use the app as the app saves time than waiting in line at their office.

The app enables applicants to calculate repayment amounts for requested term so they can tailor the loan to suit their terms.

Santa visits PMGH children’s ward

Head of Credit for Fincorp, Adam Hughes, dressed in a Santa attire, joined his team in giving early Christmas presents to every child in the children's ward at PMGH.

Hughes said it was a great opportunity to visit this special group of children recovering at the hospital.

He added that it was sad to hear that more than 100 sick children would be spending Christmas at the hospital and the team delightedly spent some moments with every child in the ward.

Santa Claus and Fincorp staff bring cheer to the sick

On Friday December 9, staff from Fincorp accompanied by Santa Claus visited Port Moresby General Hospital’s Childrens Ward to give some Christmas cheer.

 The Fincorp staff and Santa Claus visited Ward 1D and Ward 1B, where they gave lollies and toys and cakes and drinks with a lot of smiles and fun for all.

“For these unfortunate children, they will be hospitalised and won’t have a chance to celebrate this festive season. We believe, by visiting these children will bring smiles and joy in their hearts,” said Santa Claus and the Fincorp staff.
