After losing all pool matches, Papua New Guinea was given a golden opportunity for a comeback when they take on host Fiji.

Despite a devastating 121-13 loss to New Zealand, PNG will stay focus banking on center Svetlana Arthur for the rebounds and Normalisa Dobunaba and Denienne Bray for their basket counts.

On the other end, the host nation will have the advantage of the crowd and moreover, using their height advantage in stealing rebounds and making drives.

Losing all 3 matches since Monday starting with New Caledonia, than Guam and New Zealand today, the PNG girls finished fourth after the preliminary finals.

That now completes Group B preliminary games.

The PNG side will now progress into the Division B semi-final, to be played at 3pm (Fiji Time, 12noon PNG time) on Thursday, 8/12 against the host side Fiji.
