Flex theft case transferred

Norman Ilikis of Turagunan village, Kokopo, East New Britain Province appeared on Monday before Deputy Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika for mention where his case was transferred to Justice Panuel Mogish.

The case was transferred because Sir Gibbs had previously dealt with and sentenced Glenda Nugai, the woman who conspired with Norman Ilikis to steal K232, 000 worth of Digicel flex out of the company.

He will next appear in court before Justice Mogish.  

Date of Electronic flex theft trial to be set

Norman Ilikis of Turagunan village, Kokopo, East New Britain Province appeared on Monday before Deputy Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika for mention.

Ilikis lawyer was directed to work with state lawyers and file pre-trial statement reviews before the matter returns to court next week.

His bail conditions will also be reviewed next week Monday when his case returns.

Court finds sufficient evidence on flex theft

Magistrate Mekeo Gauli on Monday handed his ruling on sufficiency of evidence against 34-year-old Norman Ilikis of Turagunan village, Kokopo, East New Britain Province.

He is expected back in court on Jan 23 with his lawyer for his section 96 statement.

 The court found prime facie evidence that between Nov 21, 2014 and Feb 27, 2015 at the Oceania Communications office at Spring Garden road, Hohola,  Ilikis conspired with his assistant, Glenda Nugai to transfer over K200,000 credits to his company.
