Joshua is due to put his world heavyweight titles on the line against IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20.

Hearn, the Brit's promoter, knows that is unlikely to go ahead due to the coronavirus pandemic, given there is no knowing when sport will resume and Spurs still have a Premier League season to finish.

Fury and Wilder were due to do battle for a third time in July, but the WBC champion's co-promoter, Bob Arum, said the trilogy fight could be put back to October.

The promoter's call comes in the wake of Whyte being cleared by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) after initially being charged by the body for testing positive for a banned substance.

After beating Oscar Rivas on points in July, Whyte was provisionally stripped of his WBC interim title and status as mandatory challenger to champion Wilder by the sanctioning body.

However, the Briton was on the undercard for Anthony Joshua's rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr. and, ahead of Saturday's victory over Mariusz Wach, UKAD announced he had been absolved of any wrongdoing.

Fielding was pushed all the way over eight rounds by tough Czech Karel Horejsek on Saturday night, eventually prevailing via a score of 79-74, improving his record to 26-1.

The Liverpool super-middleweight is now on the cusp of a fight with WBO titlist Ramirez (37-0-KO25) as the Mexican looks to make the fourth defence of his belt.

"We've been in talks this week. It looks like it will take place in June, we are just working on the deal now, it's quite close," promoter Hearn told Sky Sports.

"Fielding has worked his way up the rankings and earned his shot.

Parker's promoter David Higgins insisted that a 35 per cent cut was their final offer to Joshua's boss Hearn as they called out the IBF and WBA champion, accusing him of having a "glass chin".

While Hearn appeared bemused by the promotional video that featured Joshua being knocked to the canvas by a series of opponents, it seems to have helped the cause of gaining his attention and that of the UK boxing market.

Hearn completed the signing of Cuban Ortiz last year before he then promoted his first overseas show as 'King Kong' faced Malik Scott in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

The movements suggest that the Matchroom promoter is continuing to delve further into the international market and now Hearn wants to promote his first show across the Atlantic headlined by the two big-punching heavyweights.

Hearn has become increasingly optimistic as this week has gone on that he can bring the two fighters together in a contest for Joshua's IBF world heavyweight title.

Speaking in Glasgow ahead of Ricky Burns' WBA world super-lightweight title clash with mandatory challenger Kiryl Relikh, he appeared confident of striking a deal.

Asked when an announcement on Joshua's next opponent can be expected, Hearn told Sky Sports: "Next week, for sure. We're getting close now.
