9 steps to help fight coronavirus spread

As world heads of government continue to grapple with the mounting challenges, Digicel is contributing to efforts to educate the public and stem the coronavirus spread.

COVID-19 is spread mainly person-to-person, through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

At present there is no vaccine, so the best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus.

Here we’ve compiled a list of easy steps to protect yourself and others:

New communications tower for Kikori

Governor Chris Haiveta announced the tower has been paid for and will be shipped up to the Station soon.

He announced this at Kikori Station recently.

“There will be a tower that the provincial government is putting up here. We've already paid for it, and it’s a matter of time for them to ship it across and the tower will be put up here by Digicel. So your communications issues are resolved,” said the Governor.

SHP woman wins K50,000

Topa, who is from Kagua, Southern Highlands Province, received the unexpected phone call from YumiFM’s renowned announcer Kasty, informing her that her number was randomly selected as the winning number in an automated draw for Digicel’s Christmas grand prize of K50,000 cash.
