Denny Solomona

Solomona not focused on England

Solomona's meteoric rise since switching from rugby league earned him a first international call-up for the June tour to Argentina, the winger sealing a dramatic first-Test win with his maiden try.

After 11 tries in 15 Sale games last season and making his mark with Jones' side in San Juan, a prosperous career with the national team beckoned.

However, the 23-year-old was sent home from an August training camp over "team culture issues" along with Manu Tuilagi, hampering his hopes of featuring in November.

Castleford seek £500k Solomona compensation

Solomona, 23, is alleged to have demanded his wages were doubled before his controversial rugby code switch.

Court papers seen by the BBC claim Sale had been agitating for Solomona to move since last summer, and that they acted with the player and agent Andy Clarke.

The papers also allege Sale knew he was under contract until November 2018.

Castleford reject three offers for Denny Solomona

The 22-year-old, who scored 42 tries for the Tigers in 2016, was a target for Wigan earlier in the year and he was the subject of offers from rugby union clubs Sale and Gloucester.

Sale were thought to have offered £300,000 to Castleford in their effort to team him up with recent league convert Josh Charnley.
