Motu-Koita Vaccination Progressing

Motu Koita Assembly Chairman, Dadi Toka Jr proudly expressed that the MKA rollout is doing well compared to the country’s vaccination rollout.

He said the rollout using the big yellow buses has not forced upon the people but this the vaccines are available for the people, so they can make a choice to protect themselves by being vaccinated.

Educate your friends, family about cancer: PNGCF

The event was at the Royal Papua Yacht Club on Monday, 7th August, in recognition of Daffodil Campaign Month.

PNGCF CEO Mr Dadi Toka Jr opened the first workshop and thanked the participants for taking the initiative to learn about cancer prevention.

“During the Daffodil Campaign, the Foundation focuses on empowering Papua New Guineans to reduce their risk of developing cancer by making healthy lifestyle choices,” Toka said in his opening speech.

​Daffodil Corporate Golf Challenge is on again!

This was announced by the PNG Cancer Foundation at the event launch yesterday.

The challenge will be held at the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club on Friday, August 25th.

The much anticipated charity golf event was launched in Port Moresby by Gerea Aopi, Executive General Manager Stakeholder Engagement at Oil Search. Aopi is also the chairman of the PNG Cancer Foundation.

Healthy teens program gets K165,000

This brings ExxonMobil PNG’s support to K269,700 for PNGCF awareness programs since 2014.

The program will be rolled out to schools in Papa Lealea, Hanuabada, Baruni, Boera, Tatana, Porebada, Port Moresby, Hides and Moro.

It will be targeted at primary school students in grades Six to Eight and aims to encourage teenagers to make healthy lifestyle choices as a way to reduce their risk of developing cancer.

PNG Cancer Foundation’s CEO, Dadi Toka Jr, says ExxonMobil PNG is a great supporter of the work of the foundation.

Touch Footy PNG holds successful AGM

There are six affiliated associations, namely Corporate Touch Lae, Huon Touch, Wewak Touch, Bugs New Ireland Touch, Owen Touch and Corporate Touch Port Moresby.

The meeting was held on Saturday, December 17, in Port Moresby, attended by the new executives and technical directors.

TFPNG president Dadi Toka Jr told Loop PNG there are some minor changes to the executive team, with the appointment of Helena Dickson as the new financial director.

Toka said her financial background brings a solid financial management system in place to encourage good governance.
