In Arawa, Autonomous Region of Bougainville, the Christian Life Centre (CLC) celebrated Christmas night with lots of sweet cakes and buns, while watching with the dramatizing of the birth of Jesus Christ played by the Church youth and Sunday School. 

Lae police launch festive season operations

Under the code name ‘Candlelight’, Lae city police will ensure this festive season is enjoyable and trouble-free.

During an operations briefing yesterday, Metropolitan Commander Chief Superintendent Anthony Wagambie Jr said they want every residents in Lae to enjoy and celebrate Christmas and New Year in peace and harmony.

"We would like every residents and households to celebrate this festive period with total joy and peace in their heart.

Inmates take part in Christmas celebrations

For a group of young men from Bomana, yoga has given them that chance sooner than their terms.

With their leader Gordon Gala Jnr, nine inmates were able to be part of the carols by candlelight’s celebration in Port Moresby last night.

Yogi Jailbirds, as they called themselves, gave an outstanding performance of acrobatic skills to an eager crowd of hundreds of the city residents.

“It’s a wonderful night here and we are happy to be part of the celebrations,” Gala Jnr told Loop PNG.
