CHM on a mission to promote positive music

This challenge comes in time with the trend now where more music are having degrading content about women.

PNG’s oldest music label, CHM Supersound hopes to change this.

The label aims to promote more positive content with artists who sign with them.

“We want positive messages, songs to be respectful to women and not degrading and discriminative; songs to talk about love and life and how young people experience it, in a positive way,” CHM Manager, Artist & Repertoire, Renata Mari said.

CHM focuses on promoting new musicians

The music label has been identifying potential artists in their project to bring new sound to PNG.

The first to drop this year was Kid Nesian with Stap Wantem Yu.

“We’ve come across a lot of good talent, Brian is one of them and there’s going to be a lot more coming up,” CHM manager, Artist & Repertoire, Renata Mari told Loop PNG.

“All these recordings were done last year but because we didn’t have the platform to monetize those songs, we didn’t release.

Fresh hit, fresh voice on airwaves!

This fresh hit is a collaboration of PNG’s CHM Supersound and Solomon Islands’ Shefram Studios.

Since its release last Saturday, February 12, Stap Wantem Yu music video has been viewed more than three million times and shared more than 100 times, reaching millions more.

It is the first single of Kid Nesian, also a fresh voice into the music scene, bringing music taste of his generation.

The release of the song was in time with Valentine’s Day.

Whether you’re in love or looking for love, CHM has got you this Valentine’s Day.

Interest in Use of Drones Growing

A flying robot is basically a drone, as commonly known, and has been spotted in many recent big events in the country, particularly in Port Moresby.

However, seen from a larger scale, the market in PNG is still small even though the interest is high.

Drones have been available in PNG in more recent years, mostly in the form of expensive type toys for consumers, according to Aaron Chin, who is in the technology business.

Aaron is the group manager – retail division for Chin H Min, one of PNG’s leading supplier in technology for more than a decade.
