Chief Inspector Sakawar Kasieng

Convicted cop appeals against sentence

He will be seeking leave of the court to appeal his sentence of seven years for arson, before the court can hear the actual appeal.

His lawyer told the court today that they are yet to obtain transcript or court recording of the sentence from the court.

Justice Stephen Kassman adjourned the case to next month.

Kasieng was sentenced on June 20 after he was convicted in May for arson.
