Only a few minutes into the first half and Panthers scored their first try, followed by a second to lead the match 12 nil.

Panthers continued their try-scoring streak, and by halftime, were celebrating on 40 points, while Butterflies struggled to catch their breath.

In the second half continued the onslaught.

Butterflies succumbed to heavy defeat, still scoreless, as Panthers walked off with 60 points.

Winning Coach Kaim Mai said was happy with the win, but reckons the ladies need to polish up on individual performances.

Panthers too strong for Butterflies

The round 5 women's division match was a tight first half but the Panthers managed a try to outside centre Katherine Anjo.

This gave them a 4-0 lead going into the break.

The second half of play was where the Panthers ravaged their opponents.

They struck twice on the same wing minutes from kick-off to extend the lead out to 14-0 lead.

The win was all but assured when Annie James scored out wide on the right wing.

In the other women's matches, Sisters beat Kone Storms 12-0 while the Dobo Warriors forfeited Tarangau.
