Sad Reality Facing Matt Dufty

Dufty inked a one-year deal at Belmore after being found on the outer under Anthony Griffin at the Dragons.

But the fullback put in an error-filled display against Penrith and was even called out for one key play where he refused to attack the defensive line.

Brent Read said it could mean an end for Dufty in the NRL.

“Matt Dufty is off contract at the end of the year,” Read said on Triple M. “He had that difficult night for Canterbury and made a host of errors.

Broncos solve halves headache — but a ‘Ferrari’ was missing; Burton causes nightmares: 3 Big Hits

The Dogs got on the board first thanks to a Braidon Burns try. They were able to capitalise off a Broncos error when fullback Tesi Niu dropped a stunning Matt Burton bomb — that sideline commentator James Hooper dubbed “genius.”

Brisbane hit back through Corey Oates who scored off a pinpoint Albert Kelly kick.

Neither Burton or Reynolds could convert the tries to scores were locked up 4-all at half time.

‘Don’t f***ing break’: Fiery Foxx moment shows exactly what Dogs were missing

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs made a big recruitment splash ahead of the 2022 season, with Melbourne Storm winger Josh Addo-Carr a headline addition.

While so much is made of Addo-Carr’s speed and finesse out wide, an underrated strength of his game is the 26-year-old’s leadership.

Former Storm winger expected to sign with Bulldogs after Christmas break: Transfer Whispers

Lumelume’s father was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, which was the major reasons for the Fijian international’s move back to Sydney.

The Melbourne Storm soon released Lumelume from the club so that he’d be able to be closer with family, friends and more specifically his father.

Since his arrival in Sydney the former Storm winger has been training with the Bulldogs, but is yet to sign with due to a full roster.

'Can't keep them all': Cleary resigned to Kikau's pending exit

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary said Canterbury's big-money pursuit of Viliame Kikau made it difficult to keep the Fijian powerhouse beyond next season but he expects him to stay on in 2022.

A photo of Kikau in Bulldogs colours next to Phil Gould and Trent Barrett emerged on Friday with the Panthers back-rower posting to Instagram later in the evening citing his displeasure at the leak.

Canterbury has launched an investigation into who posted the security camera screenshot online of Kikau posing in blue and white.

Lewis learns fate as NRL sanctions ‘masked‘ Bulldog over alleged speaker theft

Lewis has been stood down by the club since last Friday when news broke of the alleged incident.

The halfback, who was told he would be released by the Dogs earlier this week, is now facing sanction.

According to Channel 9 reporter Danny Weidler, Lewis will have to apply to have any future contract registered with the NRL.

He is also facing a fine in the region of $10,000.

Earlier in the week Weidler revealed that Lewis donned a mask and put a hood over his head as he attempted to steal the speaker.

DWZ makes mid-season switch to sign with Warriors until 2024

The Bulldogs announced on Monday the Kiwi international would join the Warriors with immediate effect.

The 25-year-old, who has represented the Bulldogs in 37 matches over the past three seasons, started his NRL career with a six-year stint at Penrith, playing 106 games for the Panthers.

Bulldogs stun Rabbitohs

There was no shortage of controversy with Canterbury scoring twice while Jaydn Su'A was in the sin bin for a high shot that knocked Lachlan Lewis out of the match, while a Souths try was awarded without the aid of a Bunker despite winger Jaxson Paulo going into touch before he grounded the ball.

The result puts Souths' hopes of a home final in jeopardy with Newcastle able to leapfrog them into sixth if they beat the Dragons while Brisbane drop to last and will now need to win one of their last two games to avoid the wooden spoon.

Dragons back on track at Bulldogs

The Dragons had slipped down the ladder with a string of defeats since their last win in April, but they were back on track thanks to a one-sided triumph on the road.

The visitors had Corey Norman back from a fractured cheekbone and both he and Queensland Maroons star Ben Hunt scored in inspiring performances.

It started badly for the Dragons as Raymond Faitala-Mariner crossed for the Bulldogs inside two minutes, but the Dragons were soon on top.

Jackson named Bulldogs captain

The NSW forward was unveiled as the Bulldogs captain during the club's pre-season camp in Terrigal on Wednesday, replacing the departed James Graham as skipper under the new Dean Pay regime.

Graham took on the full-time captaincy duties following the departure of Michael Ennis to the Cronulla Sharks in 2015, developing a cult following with his emotional style of leadership.

Jackson was the obvious candidate to replace the Englishman, who was squeezed out of the club to link with the St George Illawarra Dragons at the end of last year.
