The occasion held at Malapau Beach Resort was attended by the Member for Kokopo, Ereman ToBaining Jnr, businesswoman Dame Sandra Lau, Church representative in the ENB Provincial Assembly, Pst Tony Kivung, staff and their families and agency partners.

Acting Director NBC ENB, Dorcas Tindri said NBC will always be the radio medium to be relied upon and despite its faltering and wavering journey, it will still deliver.

Life of 90-year-old celebrated

It is also a celebration of the life one has lived.

90-year-old Ombolu Tiyoma, from Payama Village in Pangia, Southern Highlands Province, was recently celebrated by her family for her life as a woman of standing in her own culture.

Tucked away in the corners of Morata Two in Port Moresby, a small family from Pangia hosted a feast as part of their Christmas celebrations.

Tiyoma is a traditionalist given her strict obedience to cultural values, which she tries to impart to her family.

Knights to celebrate Sir Michael’s 80th birthday in Wewak

Grand Chief Rt. Hon Sir Michael T, Somare, the founding Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea turns 80 on April 9, 2016.

According to Melanesian News, the Grand Chief will celebrate his birthday and 48 years in politics in Wewak with his family, friends and colleagues. International guests are also likely to attend the celebrations.

Sir Peter, the Managing Director of Melanesian Tourists Services along with close friends of Sir Michael will visit Wewak aboard the Kalibobo Spirit to witness the important historic event.
