The first time event brought fans to Ela Beach to see players from SP Hunters, PNG Barramundis and the Lewas challenge in a game of cricket.
Acting Marketing Manager for SP Brewery, Lawrence Acanufa, said the main objective was to get engaged with the community as well as allow fans and supporters to see players.
“We sponsor for the SP Hunters since the beginning and we also sponsored Cricket PNG for a very long time, so it’s also showcasing the support we put into sports in PNG, so that’s really the objective as well as the community engagement.”
