Locals set up roadblock in fear of ‘take over’

The Motu- Koitabuan men have set up roadblocks leading into the village because a two-week demand from a certain ethnic group from Enga Province will lapse tomorrow.

The Engans have demanded a K1 million compensation for injuries sustained by their two tribesmen. And if the demand is not met, they will take over the village.

Gawdi Rei, chairman of Tanomotu Clan of Baruni, told Loop PNG the incident happened on Easter weekend.
