Barcelona's Ter Stegen sorry for errors

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has apologised to his Barcelona team-mates after the goalkeeper's mistakes helped Celta Vigo record a dramatic 4-3 victory at Balaidos, preventing Luis Enrique's men from going top of LaLiga.

The champions – who also lost at Celta last season – fell three goals behind in a dreadful first half that saw a poor clearance from Ter Stegen contribute to the hosts' opening goal through Pione Sisto.

Messi 300: A statistical breakdown

Lionel Messi set yet another record on Wednesday, as he became the first man to break the 300-goal mark in La Liga.

The Barcelona superstar reached his triple-century in the 25th minute of his side's 3-1 victory at Sporting Gijon, opening the scoring with a typically unerring left-footed finish from 20 yards.

For good measure, Messi notched his 301st league goal with another clinical strike 16 minutes later. He is now 50 clear of second-placed Telmo Zarra in La Liga's all-time leading scorers' list.

Barcelona 3 Sevilla 0 (5-0 agg): Arda at the double as Barca collect season's first silverware

Arda Turan gave further encouraging signs he can turn his Barcelona career around with a brace as Luis Enrique's side eased to a 3-0 win over Sevilla in the Supercopa de Espana second leg at Camp Nou.

The Turkey international's displays came in for regular criticism last season as he failed to find the form that persuaded Barca to prize him from Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona to host 2019 World Roller Games

The Spanish city had been due to host the first edition of the International Roller Sports Federation (FIRS) in 2017 after being awarded the Games last year.

Following elections in Barcelona, however, the new administration asked FIRS to be released from the promise they had made to stage the Games.

The governing body announced Nanjing in China as their replacements for the inaugural event in January.
