DIRD starts with Alotau

The four day consultation and awareness workshop was officially opened by Alotau MP, Ricky Moris, followed by keynote addresses from the Deputy Provincial Administrator - Governance, Sharon Mua. 

The lead government agency- Department of Implementation and Rural Development (DIRD) who holds a significant mandate, in overseeing, monitor and report on the GoPNG rural development intervention programs, in Service Improvement Program (SIP - PSIP & DSIP) and Constitutional Grants for the provinces and districts has developed this Digital Platform.

Mt Hagen to host DICT regional workshop

The workshop is set for the 25th and 26th July, 2023 NS will be held at the Highlander Hotel. It is aimed at raising awareness about DICT’s policies, plans and objectives. Digital Technological Officers (DTO) and other stakeholders will attend. 

Secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Steven Matainaho is urging DTOs’, IT managers, or representatives appointed by the district administrators to attend this two-day workshop.

Awareness workshop for stakeholders on SDGs underway

The two day workshop from October 6-7 is facilitated by the Department of National Planning and Monitoring in partnership with the UN Development Program.

The workshop provides participants with a better understanding of the SDGs and the way they can be taken forward in Papua New Guinea.

Participants include representatives from relevant government departments, civil society groups and business community.

The goal is to share information on the Global Agenda 2030 and the SDGs, brainstorm integrated ways the 17 SDGs can be taken forward in PNG.
