Second judging underway for Hiri Hanenamo

Twenty young beauties, between the ages of 18 and 25 or known as Hane U’ulato, from all Motu and Koita villages and from Gabagaba to Manumanu paraded out in the best traditional attire, swaying in front of thousands of Port Moresby residents who were present to witness the arrival of the Lagatoi.

The 2014 Miss Hiri Hanenamo, Boio Miria from Boera and her runner up Mea Lakani from Hanuabada did their last dance out of the shelters to make way for the contestants to be under the spotlight again by a panel of judges.

Hiri Hanenamo judging set for Nature Park

The festival is set to be staged on Friday Sept 30 and Saturday Oct 1, this year at Down Town, Ela Beach.

However, the first judging of the 2016 Hiri Hanenamo will be taking place at the Port Moresby Nature Park tomorrow, Monday Sept 26th at 10am.

This time, the 2014 Miss Hiri Hanenamo- Ms Boio Miria from Boera village and runner up- Ms Mea Lakani from Hanubada will be handing over the title to the next contestant for 2015 Miss Hiri Hanenamo.
