Will it be the Gurias or Tigers?

Here we are at the last game of the 2017 Digicel Cup competition which sees two combatants still standing – the Lae Snax Tigers and the Agmark Rabaul Gurias.

It will be the four time minor premiers from Lae up against the Rabaul boys who are playing in their fourth consecutive grand final.

“We’re not going to change much in our game plan. Preparation is key. We just need to work on our preparation leading into the game,” said Tigers coach, Stanley Tepend.

Both sides met in last year’s grand final with the Tigers edging out the Gurias 14-8 in a thriller. Expect no less tomorrow.

“There’s not much you can do in the week leading up to a grand final. You can’t teach the team anything new because you have only about four or five sessions before the final game.

“They know what we’re going to do and we know what they’re going to do. But it will all come down to heart and experience.

“It’s going to be a good game for the fans,” said Gurias coach, Steven Nightingale.

Tomorrow’s grand final will kick off at 3pm at the Sir John Guise Stadium.

Pre-sold tickets are available at the Digicel outlet at Vision City. Game day tickets can be purchased at the gate.
