Tanya Ruma's 69 off 61 balls helped the City Pharmacy PNG Lewas to a 78 run win over hosts Japan yesterday.
This was at the 2018 ICC Women’s World T20 – East Asia-Pacific Qualifier 2017.
Ruma’s knock, which included five 4s and two 6s, ensured the Lewas reached triple figures. She was assisted along the way by Sibona Jimmy (27) and Pauke Siaka (14).
The Lewas batted out the 20 overs to finish at 3/138.
Japan proved no match in their run chase as the Lewas destroyed their batting attack, with four batters all going for ducks.
The Lewas will play Samoa tomorrow.
Vicky Araa was the chief destroyer, taking 3/9 to see Japan all bowled out for 60.
