The Port Moresby Corporate Touch Rugby competition is progressing along well with an increase in teams this year making it more competitive.

Operations Manager, Jerry Borg said there are 32 teams playing in the five divisions. The competition started in January and will end with the grand final in October.

“It’s getting better and better every year. This year we have a lot more teams which is good because it makes it more competitive,” said Borg.

He added there is a lot of talent to choose from to form the Port Moresby sides for the upcoming national championships next month.

In the results this morning from week five games at the Sir John Guise Stadium, in the Open Women’s division- Vitis def. Wellness Lodge 7-1, ANZ Lotus def. Kutmo 6-2 and in the Open Mix division- Kupil7 def. PNG Air 6-4 and IEA def. PNG Air Services 4-3.
