PNG coaching conference preps underway

High Performance PNG is working collaboratively with its partners to ensure the upcoming PNG National Coaching Conference is one of the pinnacle conferences in the region.

High Performance Sport Papua New Guinea director, Aaron Alsop, said with the continued support from Government and other key partners, participants will see a great balance of knowledge sharing, practical application and context specific discussions through the 2-and-a-half days.

“It is exciting to know that our staff have earned the trust of the National Federations and that they want our staff to be involved with their program, team and that they are requesting for more help now in other areas that they did not know was available to them.

“It’s been an education process along the way. We grow and succeed together.”

Alsop added that despite being setup only four years ago, HP Sport PNG have had some remarkable achievements, including their international accreditation with ASPC and is looking to build on the relationships with the National Federations, particularly between coaches and the performance staff in keeping the momentum going.

The PNG National Coaching Conference will run from July 6-8.
