Olam features in Falcons 38-14 win over Hunters

The SP Hunters were handed a 38-14 beating tonight at the hands of the Sunshine Coast Falcons at the Sunshine Coast Stadium, Australia.

Alex Bishop put the home side in front after only three minutes when he crossed over.

Guy Hamilton kicked a penalty in the 22nd minute to extend the lead by more than a converted try.

The Falcons pushed further in front after former Hunter Justin Olam scored in the 26th minute.

Hamilton added the extras to make it 14-0 from a successful conversion.

The Hunters hit back just before the 30 minute mark through Bland Abavu.

Both teams went to break with the score at 14-4.

It was 20-8 after 57 minutes of play following tries from Falcon’s Matthew Soper-Lawler and Karo Kauna Jr. who scored the Hunters second try.

But the Falcons took the game away from the Hunters with three tries inside 20 minutes to secure the two points from the round six clash.

Abavu snuck in for his second four pointer of the night in the 79th minute, with Ase Boas converting to bring the final score to 38-14.
