NRL PNG Inclusive Day

The League Bilong Laif (LBL) program held an Inclusive Day event at Cheshire Home, Hohola, on April 18th.

Inclusive Day is a special event on the LBL calendar. The event gives persons living with disability the opportunity to participate in rugby league themed activities.

Thursday’s Inclusive Day was about engaging youths in reading and discussions on being healthy and eating the right types of food, using rugby league resources.

The youths had a lot of questions to ask and also shared health tips amongst their peers.

Cheshire Homes thanked League Bilong Laif for taking the participants through the session. NRL Game Development Officer Dela Audama, who led the team, encouraged youths to eat right, drink water and stay healthy.

Included in the list of participants were three male para-athletes who will be competing in the upcoming Arafura and Samoa Pacific Games, as well as Special Olympics Asia Pacific Athletics Input Council member Raphael Otoase.

The youths were each given a certificate of participation at the end of session.

Inclusive Day activities are modified to cater for persons of all abilities.

LBL aims to leave participants with a positive experience of the game and to invite them to be part of the rugby league family.

League Bilong Life is gender inclusive and for people of all abilities.
