NGCB indoor cricket tournament to start tomorrow

In celebration of the ever growing interest of the sport of indoor cricket in Port Moresby, the inaugural 2017 National Gaming Control Board (NGCB) Indoor Invitational is set to get underway in the nation’s capital this weekend.

The highly-anticipated event is an initiative of the Acting Clerk of Parliament, Kala Aufa and is being organised by a Committee headed by Chairman, Ila Pala.

The 24 corporate teams, most of whom took part in the recently completed PIH Corporate Indoor Cricket Competition, will converge to Amini Park and compete in the Men’s and Mixed divisions over the next five weeks, with the finals scheduled for Saturday May 6.

Pala thanked the NGCB for their support and conveyed the same gratitude to the support sponsors.

The launch of the tournament will take place tomorrow at 10am at Amini Park with games to start straight after.
