Mone vows to work hard

SP Hunters halfback, William Mone, says he will work hard to retain the number 7 jersey.

Mone will partner Charlie Simon in the round one clash on Sunday against the Tweed Heads Seagulls.

Mone has shown unbelievable patience in the Hunters camp since 2017, playing only a few minutes in his only match against the CQ Capras in Round 11 in 2018.

Mone has been an understudy to the Boas brothers as well as Charlie Simon last year, while patiently waiting for an opportunity.

When announced as the halfback, Mone was relieved and happy.

The 22-year-old former Hela Wigmen and Schoolboy representative says the departure of the Boas brothers has left a challenge for him and Simon.

While the halves has been a talking point following the departure of the Boas brothers, Hukula says they are not expecting any miracles from Simon and Mone.

Mone says the team has a very positive vibe and they are looking forward to the year.

And with many players competing, Mone says he will work hard to keep his position.
