FC Morobe Wawens scraped past Besta PNG United FC with a 2-1 upset in this afternoon's round five encounter in Lae.
Besta had all the possession in the opening minutes and looked the more dangerous side.
However, FC Morobe survived this and immediately went on the counter-attack.
Several visits to their opponents proved fruitless, but all the momentum was now with FC Morobe.
But, it was Besta who struck first from a corner that found the head of Irenus Wibena to put his side in front two minutes out from the break.
FC Morobe equalized early in the second half in much similar fashion after Alu Awi headed one past the keeper.
