Dwellers win trial matches in Fiji

The Lae City Dwellers have had the perfect start leading into the Oceania Football Confederation Champions League after winning their two trial matches in Fiji.

The Dwellers fought hard for their first win last Friday beating Suva FC 3-2 in rainy conditions.

Goals came from Obert Bika and a double from Emmanuel Simon.

Their second match against the Fijian national team yesterday at the Ba Football Academy was another hard fought one with the Dwellers coming out on top 4-3.

The Dwellers’ points came from two goals from Obert Bika, Raymond Gunemba and Japhet Tiampo.

The 2016 National Soccer League winners will now travel to New Zealand for their first match of the Champions League against Vanuatu’s Malampa Revivors this Saturday at Mangere Centre Park.
