Dolphins dominate to beat Hunters

The SP Hunters were handed a 28-12 loss at the hands of the Redcliffe Dolphins this afternoon at Dolphin Oval in Australia.

The home side was thoroughly dominated in the first half running in three tries from Joseph Bradley, Troy Giess and Daniel Bridge plus a penalty goal off the boot of Tyson Gamble to take them to a commanding 20-0 lead at the break.

The Hunters found themselves further behind on the scoreboard after Myles Taueli crossed over to score two minutes into the second half.

The Hunters regrouped and hit back midway through the match with a double to Stargroth Amean.

Captain and five-eighth, Ase Boas made sure of his kicks to narrow the deficit to 26-12 with 17 minutes left on the clock.

But the Dolphins had done enough denying the Hunters any more points. Gamble added a further two points late in the match to further seal the win in the round 21 clash.
