Digicel Cup handed back to PNG NRLC

The Digicel Cup was officially handed back today to the PNG National Rugby League Competition for tonight’s launching of the 2018 season.

The event took place at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby and was made open to the public.

Activities today included trivia questions with winners being awarded gift bags. The captains from each team were then brought on stage for all to see.

After receiving the Cup from Lae Snax Tigers captain, Paul Kambi, Chairman of the PNGNRLC, Adrian Chow declared the Digicel Cup open to all the ten franchise clubs and wished them all the best.

“Play your best, play in the true spirit of the game and play with skill and discipline.”

He thanked the sponsors especially Digicel PNG for their continual support to rugby league.

Tonight’s season launching will be held at the Gateway Hotel starting at 7pm.
