Madang FC has plenty to improve on before returning to the Oceania Football Confederation stage.
The Maurie Wasi-coached side finished last in Pool C of the OFC Champions League 2018 after a winless campaign in New Zealand.

AS Venus def. Madang FC 2-1
“We are good enough to go back and qualify again for next year but we need to fix a lot of things at the club and organise things professionally.
“We’ll try to get back next year with a strong enough squad and good preparation to really try to have a go at it,” said Wasi.
The team will return to the country tomorrow.
