Brook inside weight limit

Kell Brook completed his difficult weight cut by weighing inside the welterweight limit to finalise his world title defence against Errol Spence Jr.

IBF champion Brook was 10st 6lbs 7oz on Friday, two ounces heavier than his challenger, and safely inside the 10st 7lbs limit before Saturday night's collision live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Each fighter must now pass Saturday morning's check-weigh. They are permitted to add a maximum of 10lbs to their weights.

Friday's weigh-in represented Brook's first return to the welterweight division since gaining 13lbs to challenge Gennady Golovkin last September in his most recent fight.

"I'm refuelling up, putting the fluids back in, rehydrating, putting the carbs back in," Brook told Sky Sports.

"The part is now the fight. I've done the hard work by getting back down to welterweight - everyone thought I wouldn't get there."

George Groves confirmed his fourth world title challenge by weighing in at 11st 13lbs 6oz, inside the super-middleweight limit. He will vie for the vacant WBA 'super' belt against Fedor Chudinov (11st 13lbs 2oz).

"I did the weight well, this time," Groves told Sky Sports. "I'm ready. I will be at my best and I will beat him. That's how it's got to be."

Heavyweight David Allen (17st 12lbs) will possess a significant weight advantage over Jamaica's Lenroy Thomas (16st 8lbs 3oz) when they contest the vacant Commonwealth title.

Jamie Cox and Lewis Taylor were within the super-middleweight limit before they fight for the vacant WBA continental title, while Olympians Lawrence Okolie and Anthony Fowler were also inside their limits.
