68th POMRFL grand final on tomorrow

The stage is set for the 68th grand final of the Port Moresby Rugby Football League competition, which will be held tomorrow at the National Football Stadium.

The draws for tomorrow are:

U20 men’s: Hekari Tarangau vs Sports Tok Kone Tigers (11am)

Women’: Kroton Souths vs PNG Waste Co/TGM Paga Panthers (12:30pm)

Men’s: Lalokau FM Hawks vs Black Swan International Royals (3pm)

“My boys have gone through good preparation for the last three weeks. We’re well prepared for this. It’s going to be a good game,” said Royals coach, Steven Gunue.

“We’re ready to give Royals a good challenge tomorrow,” said Hawks coach, Edea Morea

The prize money breakup is:

U20 Men’s: First place (K10, 000), Runner-up (K5, 000)

Women’s: First place (K10, 000), Runner-up (K5, 000)

Men’s First place (K20, 000), Runner-up (K10, 000)

Chairman of the POMRFL, Dr James Naipao congratulated all 14 clubs for another successful season playing in the U20 Men’s, Women’s and Men’s divisions.

He also went on to thank the POMRFL board and sponsors, especially major sponsor SP Brewery.

The theme for tomorrow’s grand final is: One family uniting the past and the present.
