Hunters on the low

SP PNG Hunters fullback Stargroth Amean says he and his teammates are keeping a low profile in the build up to the 2017 Intrust Super Cup grand final.

Amean was among four other Hunters players that took time off from their training to spread the word on healthy lifestyle and a good attitude towards life in general.

After the Hunters’ narrow win against the Redcliffe Dolphins at the National Football Stadium, the PNG team scored a direct entry into the Intrust Super Cup grand final on the 24th of September at Suncorp, in Brisbane.

The major semi-final was an opportunity that Hunters did not let slip by and in their fourth season, have made history by being an outside team to make the finals.

Half back Watson Boas knows the pressure is on but he acknowledges the support of many Papua New Guineans that have backed the team throughout the entire season.

The first group of Hunters players will travel down to Brisbane on Friday 22nd of September while the four players named in the PM’s XIII team will follow next to meet up for the ISC final at Suncorp, Brisbane.
