Tedesco out of Tigers-Titans clash

Wests Tigers fullback James Tedesco will miss his side's Round 16 meeting with the Gold Coast Titans at Campbelltown Stadium, cut from the 21-man squad 24 hours prior to kick-off.

The custodian picked up an ankle injury in the NSW Blues' loss to the Queensland Maroons in State of Origin II, and it's yet to be determined at this stage whether he'll be fit to face the Knights in Round 17.

‌Tedesco also spent some time off the field on Wednesday night due to a HIA but the No.1 later rejoined the action, finishing the match.

Kevin Naiqama will replace Tedesco at fullback, with Malakai Watene-Zelezniak joining the 17 on the wing. Joel Edwards has also been dropped from the squad named on Tuesday.

Captain Aaron Woods will be given up until kick-off to prove his fitness but at this stage should be fine to play.

For the Titans, Chris McQueen has been ruled out with a neck injury. Joe Greenwood will start in his place with Pat Vaivai joining the bench. Origin reps Jarryd Hayne, Nathan Peats and Jarrod Wallace are all still part of the squad with Phillip Sami dropping out.
