Wingti calls on provincial leaders to be united

​The Western Highlands Governor, Pais Wingti, has urged the provincial assembly members to work along with his administration to improve on development in the province.

The Governor said he wanted to see leaders act responsibly in their conduct encouraging more like-minded leaders.

He further took the opportunity to thank the outgoing Deputy Governor and the President of Baiyer LLG, Paraka Nei for his leadership service in the province.

Meantime the recently sworn in provincial assembly members reassured that they would work together to bring the province forward.

Chairman of the assembly, Governor Wingti also mentioned that education and infrastructure would be his provincial government’s priorities in the province for the next five years.

These includes the building of more new high schools, setting up tertiary institutions and the rehabilitation of the Kagamuga International Airport as well as the four lane road from Kulicap to Kelitiga.
