Speaking to some, asking what Easter meant to them; most said it was a time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.
Other said it was a time to reflect on our lives by attending the Virgil night service that will take place this evening at their respective churches.
Most said they had gone for the Station of the Cross walk yesterday adding that Easter is a time to be of service to others just as Jesus was.
“Walking with the Cross yesterday wasn’t just an accomplishment that I climbed the Poreporena Freeway but a sacrifice of a reflection of my life,” says Jane, mother of two.
“Easter is a time to share and reflect on the true meaning of the event holiday”, says Mason.
Whilst sometimes the Easter weekend can be used as an excuse to drink and celebrate during the long weekend, warnings have been issued by police to stay of the road and keep the celebration at home when drinking so as to avoid accidents and mishaps.
